Trade In Your Handpiece

Wanted Dead or Alive!

Rewards - offered for those Notorious Dead or Used Dental Handpieces that take up your space. You will recognize them by the dull exterior, often dusty, and usually noisy, or totally inert. They were often abused and cussed at when old, therefore can be very cantankerous. Handle with CARE!

On the serious side, yes, we often buy used dental handpieces outright, for cash, for a credit to your account, or for exchange on our repair services or parts and products. We often take unused handpieces in as trades on new, or as contributions to the industry or our favorite charity, and we go over them thoroughly to ensure that they are in superb shape. They are rebuilt with the best replacement bearings, new chucks, optics and other parts if needed.

Often we cannibalize them for obscure parts on older pieces, sometimes they can be rebuilt and sold at reasonable prices. If you have our dental kit, put them in and follow usual procedure for shipping. If not, package them in your usual "found box" and send them in. We'll call and discuss a mutually acceptible price for them. There's no sense in letting them sit unused. We try and recondition as many as we can, and sell them at very economical prices to students, or as backups or even primary tools to doctors.

Highspeed dental handpieces are a marvel of engineering, capable of turning at blindingly fast revolutions per minute. They are generally very solid as to the bodies, and it is typically only the turbines and optics that need to be replaced. When they are overhauled, cleaned thoroughly (water and chip-air lines cleaned out, interiors sonically cleaned, exteriors cleaned, polished, buffed), they are basically a new dental handpiece in an old body. They may be used dental handpieces, but they work like new, feel like new, cut like new: but they aren't the 'new' price. They aren't just sitting dusty: they are doing someone some good. Check your storage drawer for unwanted used dental handpieces. If you have our Administrator's helper Dental Handpiece Shipping kit, put them in and follow usual procedure for shipping. If not, package them in your usual 'found box' and send them in. We'll call and discuss a mutually acceptible price for them, as a credit on your account, a cash payment, or a trade on something else you need.

We recondition handpieces for our favorite charity, Friends of Mengo Hospital (Canada), who sponsor a dental clinic and hospital in Uganda - Please help us to help them.
